My dream doll is the one I'm already making! A figure skater, who dreams of going professional. She gets discovered by a coach, goes thru training, sectionals, then nationals...etc! (thats Athena!)

My dream AG doll are the ones I already have!

I also think it would be neat to have a civil war era doll that's like a Scarlett O' Hara. We've seen it through a slave girls' eyes, why not a white girl's?

I think a bit more diversity in the historical domain could not hurt!
Only AGT4 as Asian? Need more!!!
How about an AA girl growing up in the 60s with all the civil rights movement issues? Her parent could be union folks fighting for the rights of the working class (my [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is in this!!!)

AGOT23, but with curlier hair and green eyes, like Hallie the Hopscotch Hill doll but in an 18in AG variety. I also want to see an Asian historical or LE and a Jewish historical. Also, some LEs with shorter hair.
How about my three dream dolls? Number one would be an African american girl in 1964 dealing with desegregation and civil rights (and 100 years after Addy.) She would be from the south, the deep south as in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, ect. Number two would be a Jewish, eastern european immigrant girl living somewhere in New England during the time period between Addy and Samantha. (The dark haired ringlets and green eyes sounds good for her.) Number three would be an Asian american girl living in California sometime during the 40 years between Addy and Samantha. And I'd also like a girl from the 1920s but I haven't really given her much thought.
When I was younger I actually wrote a letter to Pleasant Company that included a drawing of my proposed American Girl. She would have been a native american girl from the 1890s going to one of the indian schools, such as Carisle. "She would be a good doll to make because the native americans were the first american girls and when they went to those schools they tried to make them be more like americans when they already were." That was a direct quote from the letter written by my 10 year old self. I never sent it though and it languished in a 'Dear America' book for quite sometime before it was finally unearthed.
Personally, I'd like to see a Jewish immigrant historical-maybe from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. She might have immigrated to Brooklyn or NY from Poland or Russia.
Maybe I'm just thinking of my family though!

I think that they should have a doll from the 1870's or 1880's.... her clothes would be amazing! Or maybe a girl from wold war one era.. maybe regency.. or a pilgrim. I dont know how she should look or where she should come from, I just like those era's of clothing design.
You all have such great ideas!
I'd love to see a doll with straight black hair and violet eyes (She'd have to be a Diana). I'd also like a long curly red-haired doll. I think a great story would be to have her as a Scottish exchange student of today, seeing America from a different perspective.
I think with the antebellum doll, people are mostly intersted in the fancy clothes and hoop skirts.
